Silas' 100th Day of School

Silas celebrates the 100th day of school with his kindergarten class tomorrow (although today was the actual 100th day), and part of the fun is wearing a shirt that we decorated with 100 items. Since one of Silas' favorite things is robots, I wanted to use foam robot stickers that we've enjoyed for other crafts. After some brainstorming, Nate and I came up with the idea to draw a robot shape on the t-shirt, and then fill it with 100 pieces of robots (and other random things that came with the set of stickers, like gears, wrenches and lightning bolts).

It took several hours to complete––and let's not debate whether or not this was a good use of my time––and looks pretty cool. More importantly, Silas loves it! Plus I enjoyed doing it. It's fun getting into something creative for a change. Hopefully the shirt will hold up when Silas wears it at school tomorrow. I can't wash it, so this is a very short-lived work of art!
