Allie's new favorite game is hide and seek, and she's finally getting the hang of the "hiding" part. We've been practicing it for a while, and she had the seeking part down pretty good, but when it was her turn to hide, the middle of the room seemed as good a place as any. Or next to something, like a door. Not behind the door...just next to it.
So finally, hide and seek is starting to come into its own! Allie now understands that hiding means putting herself in a place where she
can't be seen! This week we played the game perfectly together, with Rowan in tow. I decided to take some photos of her as I "found" her. She always giggled with delight whenever I discovered her hiding spot (which was usually the spot where I had just previously hidden).

Aha! |
|
Found her again.... |
|
This time she wasn't too happy because she noticed
while hiding in the closet that there were
balloons in there.
|
At this point our game was interrupted by Allie's realization that we could be playing something much more fun, like balloon toss. So our play shifted a bit...
|
Allie loves balloons even more than hide and seek. |
|
"Mommy, can you blow this up for me?" |

Balloon time! |
